Welcome to the Hartford Rotary Club

We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to serving our local community through various volunteer projects and initiatives. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, but we share a common goal of making a positive impact in Hartford and beyond.
 
As a part of Rotary International, our club is committed to promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, supporting education, and growing local economies. We work together to achieve these goals through fundraising events, volunteer projects, and partnerships with local organizations.
Hartford Rotary Club is awarded the 2025 Non-Profit of the Year Award
 
We're honored to share that the Hartford Rotary Club has been named the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce 2025 Non-Profit of the Year!
 
Dedicated to our motto, “Service Above Self,” we are grateful for this recognition as we conclude our 100th year of service. Club President Ane Ohm proudly accepted the award alongside several Rotarians, celebrating a century of giving back to our community, supporting youth, and advancing global initiatives.

Hartford Rotary Receives Rotary Club Excellence Award

The Hartford Rotary Club is honored to announce that it has been awarded the Rotary Club Excellence Award, the highest recognition a Rotary club can achieve.

This prestigious award is presented to clubs that demonstrate outstanding achievement in advancing Rotary’s organizational priorities. These include growing membership, developing sustainable service projects, contributing to The Rotary Foundation, and enhancing community awareness of Rotary.

For the 2024–2025 Rotary year, the Hartford Rotary Club has exemplified these standards through the dedicated efforts of its members. Their work has strengthened Rotary’s impact both within the Hartford community and across the globe.

We are proud of this achievement, but even more so of the dedication and service our members bring every day. Together, we continue to make a difference in Hartford and beyond.

The Hartford Rotary Club looks forward to building upon this achievement as it continues its mission of service above self, promoting integrity, and advancing goodwill, peace, and understanding in the community and beyond.

Join us for one of Hartford’s most exciting events! Hartford Rotary Presents an Evening of Wine and Specialty Beer Tasting on February 21st from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Enjoy wines from around the world, the Hartford Automotive Museum, delicious appetizers, music and raffles. Proceeds from this event helps support Friends, Inc and the Washington Humane Society.

Join us for Hartford Rotary's 1st Bike Ride to support the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County and the Hartford Skate Park
Over the past century, the Hartford Rotary Club has contributed to numerous landmarks and imitates that have enhanced the quality of life for residents. From the construction of Centennial Park to the creation of the Rotary Park Gazebo and the preservation of the Chandelier Ballroom, the club's impact is visible throughout the city.
 
However, the impact of the Hartford Rotary Club extends far beyond physical landmarks. Through initiatives such as student scholarships, hosting foreign exchange students, teacher of the year award, VISION House and supporting community organizations like the Schauer Arts Center, the club has continuously enriched the lives of residents.
 
Internationally, Hartford Rotary's efforts have been equally significant. Members have traveled to Guatemala and Haiti to provide clean water systems, medical support, and aid in the global fight against polio.
 
As we celebrate our centennial anniversary, we are humbled by the opportunity to serve this wonderful community for the past 100 years. None of our accomplishments would have been possible without the dedication and generosity of our members and supporters.
In celebration of its 100th Anniversary, the Hartford Rotary Club is
proud to announce the unveiling of a special gift to the community: a state-of-the-art fishing pier located within Rotary Park.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, the newly constructed fishing pier is ADA-compliant, featuring paved pathways for easy access and thoughtful amenities such as pole holders and protective railings. The water in the area was dredged in 2022, ensuring a depth of approximately 12 feet at the end of the pier, providing ample opportunities for anglers of all skill levels to enjoy their favorite pastime.
 
The new fishing pier stands as a testament to the Hartford Rotary Club's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. It is a symbol of the club's enduring legacy of service and its ongoing dedication to making Hartford a vibrant and inclusive community.
